drifting2dreams asked: Two things:
Akuma can beat Bison. Bison has some trouble against most shotos, but Akuma has the options to make that matchup hell for Bison. Look at Tokido vs. Neurosis if you want something to look at for reference. I'm probably going to look at that some more.

Yun has more safe options than most of the cast in terms of offense. He builds meter faster that most of the cast, he has good ways to punish fireballs, has a divekick, has a command grab, and has a lot of safe options to continue offense. Options which Rufus, Abel, Fei-Long, and Zangief (to name a few) wish they had. Not to mention the fact that doing combos with the twins isn't THAT difficult.

Maybe after 6 months all the Yun cries will be over. But then again, Japan had the game since December and there have been rumors that they may want to ban the twins as well.

Yeah I know Akuma can beat Bison, and I know Bison can have troubles with shotos, but I’m having trouble with the match up, not Akuma. I’ll be the first to say I’m not the best Akuma player, or street fighter player in the world. I still have tons to work on. Just because Akuma beats Bison when both characters are played perfectly doesn’t mean I’m going to be able to handle bison well.

People are just too used to defense in this game. Now that there is 2 offensive power houses, people don’t know how to deal with it and bitch. IMO the more offense the better. I hate watching two people hold down back for the entire match. another opinion of mine is, as long as you can input anything besides back while you’re blocking, the game is broken. When you can block AND mash reversals in, there is something wrong with the game. That’s punishing the aggressor, and catering to the casual scrubs, and that should never happen in a fighting game.

Can’t wait till 3soe comes out so kids that think they are good at sf4 will buy it and realize they can’t mash shoryus while blocking and immediately drop the game.

I promise you no one will ban the twins. People are just going to have to quit bitching, learn the match-up, and be the aggressors for once.

Also, thank you for your two cents on the Akuma Bison match-up. I do appreciate it. I went to a tournament about a year ago and an akuma player told me that Akuma has no necessarily “bad” match-ups, and that absolutly blew my mind back then, because I thought I had a lot of bad match-ups back then. [I was clearly new. lol] Now I know what he means.
